Drs. Jasmeet Judge and Hui Wang Represent FloridaWCA at
NASA’s Water Resources Team Meeting

At the NASA Water Resources Team Meeting held September 17-19 in Cambridge, MA, FloridaWCA Steering Committee Member Dr. Jasmeet Judge (UF/IFAS) and Dr. Hui Wang, a utility partner from Tampa Bay Water, highlighted the importance of stakeholder-scientist partnerships for achieving lasting project impact. They shared the outputs of FloridaWCA’s NASA-funded project: Integrating NASA Earth Systems Data into Decision-Making Tools of Member Utilities of the Florida Water and Climate Alliance (see poster display below).
Both Jasmeet and Hui also served as panelists, with Hui on the “Regional Partner and Stakeholder Panel” and Jasmeet on the “Lessons Learn and Best Practices Panel”. They emphasized the value of on-going stakeholder-scientist partnerships like FloridaWCA in successfully integrating new data products into decision-making tools. This co-development approach ensures that end-user stakeholders receive data products with the frequency, lead time, and resolution that is applicable to operations and water source management decisions.
