Future Rainfall Projections for Florida Water Resources Planning and Management: Stakeholder Needs Assessment

As many of us are all too familiar with, extreme weather and climate events in Florida are intensifying and becoming more frequent. Extreme temperatures, extreme rainfall and flooding, drought, sea level rise, hurricanes/tropical storms, and severe weather have significant impacts on water management and planning. Over 190 participants joined the webinar from water management districts, utilities, universities, government agencies and consulting firms. The webinar featured an overview of the Florida FloodHub Climate and Sea Level Rise Working Groups by Dr. Tom Frazer (Executive Director of the Florida FloodHub, USF) followed by a panel discussion focused on diverse water sector stakeholders’ needs for and uses of climate information.
